Mobile Electrician HMP
Your New Role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Mobile Electrician to join our Ministry of Justice (MoJ) account based in the
North West of England. The role will involve travelling across the region, visiting various sites from HMPYOI Styal in Wilmslow up to HMP Haverigg in Cumbria. Sites cover most prisons across the North West, including Leyland, Wigan, Warrington etc.
The salary is competitive, with a company van included in the package.

By using our facilities’ management expertise, we help keep 60 secure premises across England and Wales running smoothly.
The Mobile Electrician plays an important part of a mobile support team that will support prisons across the regions and fulfil the role of AP/RPs as required.
The standard hours of work are 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

What makes this role unique is
You will work across the region, becoming the AP/RP. The role of an AP/RP is to implement and manage work in accordance with the Amey Safety Rules for the respective disciplines as required by contractual, best practice and legislative duties. Prison Security Clearance will be required (Amey will support you through this process).

Ideally, you will be qualified in 18th
Edition (however, if you currently only have 17th
Edition, we will sponsor you to upgrade to the 18th
Edition; terms and conditions apply) with experience in electrical maintenance within a commercial environment.
In addition to this, you will need to have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and experience of managing stakeholder relationships at all levels to help you hit the ground running, as the role requires adaptability for each site.
