PI Wholesale Broker
Servca are an international, owner-managed Lloyd’s Broker headquartered in the UK with offices in Canada and Europe. Servca specialise in Professional Indemnity, D&O, Medical Malpractice and Liability risks originating from direct ‘Retail’ clients and from our global partner brokers (Wholesale business).
In line with our strong growth, we are seeking a highly driven Commercial Broker to grow UK and international business.
This individual will be a highly motivated, self-starter able to identify and develop new business prospects.
Key responsibilities/tasks
- Develop new business with new and existing regional brokers. by placing business into various Lloyd’s of London facilities set up by the company.
- Leverage existing insurer relationships in placement of risks.
- Follow up on leads and conduct research to identify potential prospects.
- Follow, build and cultivate prospective relationships by initiating communications and conducting follow-up communication with new and existing partners globally.
- Leverage existing relationships to contribute to the company and its future advancements.
Skills and Experience
- Minimum 2 years experience in commercial broking professional indemnity & liability insurance including wordings, clauses and endorsement specifics.
- Lloyd’s of London experience would be ideal, although not compulsory.
- Demonstrated ability to meet and/or exceed risk placement targets.
- A proven track record of strong insurer relationships.
- Business development skills would be advantageous.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office products (Excel, Word, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint).
- Experience with using main-stream insurance CRMs.
- Leverage existing relationships to contribute to the company and its future advancements.
- Ability to follow up leads to build the prospect pipeline.
- Knowledge of and experience in setting up binders, schemes and delegated authorities would be beneficial.
