Job Description

About the role:

We are seeking a talented Landscape Architect to join a renowned multi-disciplinary studio in London on a permanent basis. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, including planning applications, public realm, and residential developments. The ideal candidate will contribute to high-quality landscape solutions, from concept design to detailed construction drawings, while collaborating with clients, local authorities, and consultants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare landscape plans for planning applications, tender, and construction, including planting, lighting, irrigation, and construction details.
  • Manage project coordination, engaging with clients, contractors, local authorities, and consultants throughout the design and construction process.
  • Develop high-quality visuals (hand-drawn and computer-based) and prepare comprehensive reports, including Design and Access Statements, Landscape Strategies, and LVIA assessments.
  • Lead and participate in meetings, including design workshops, public consultations, and community engagement sessions.
  • Monitor project schedules and budgets, track scope changes, and assist in drafting fee proposals.
  • Stay updated on competition opportunities, contribute to EDLA entries, and support social media and research initiatives.
  • Support junior team members, promote professional development, and engage in CPD activities, including volunteering/community projects.

Skills & Abilities Required:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in landscape architecture with a BA degree and Pathway to Chartership (or interest in it).
  • Strong design, technical, and analytical skills, with report writing and visual communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, SketchUp, GIS, and Revit (preferred).
  • Knowledge of UK landscape policies, SuDS, and public realm design.
  • Full UK driving licence required.
