A fantastic opportunity has opened up for a General Manager to join a dynamic and fast-growing transport business in Stanwell. This is a rare opportunity to join a well-established operation and make a real impact. Our client is seeking someone hardworking, proactive, and eager to grow with the business.

As General Manager, you will:

  • Oversee day-to-day transport operations, ensuring exceptional service delivery across all contracts
  • Lead and develop a large, multi-functional workforce
  • Drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement
  • Develop and execute strategic business plans
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, legal, and industry regulations
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with stakeholders and clients
  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership to achieve business goals

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong leadership and people management experience
  • Proven ability to think strategically and lead high-performing operational teams
  • Financial and budget management experience
  • Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills
  • Deep understanding of transport-related compliance and safety requirements
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in the transport industry is highly desirable
  • Transport Managers CPC (or willingness to obtain within 12 months)
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field
  • Must be willing to work full-time, on-site in Stanwell

Package:

  • Salary: £60,000 per annum + £5,000 performance-based bonus
  • Car Allowance: £350/month or company car
  • Benefits: Laptop, mobile phone, 20 days holiday + 8 bank holidays
