A fantastic opportunity has opened up for a General Manager to join a dynamic and fast-growing transport business in Stanwell. This is a rare opportunity to join a well-established operation and make a real impact. Our client is seeking someone hardworking, proactive, and eager to grow with the business.
As General Manager, you will:
- Oversee day-to-day transport operations, ensuring exceptional service delivery across all contracts
- Lead and develop a large, multi-functional workforce
- Drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement
- Develop and execute strategic business plans
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance
- Ensure compliance with all safety, legal, and industry regulations
- Build and nurture strong relationships with stakeholders and clients
- Collaborate closely with senior leadership to achieve business goals
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong leadership and people management experience
- Proven ability to think strategically and lead high-performing operational teams
- Financial and budget management experience
- Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills
- Deep understanding of transport-related compliance and safety requirements
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience in the transport industry is highly desirable
- Transport Managers CPC (or willingness to obtain within 12 months)
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field
- Must be willing to work full-time, on-site in Stanwell
Package:
- Salary: £60,000 per annum + £5,000 performance-based bonus
- Car Allowance: £350/month or company car
- Benefits: Laptop, mobile phone, 20 days holiday + 8 bank holidays
