I have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Site Manager to join a dynamic, reputable Main Contractor that carry out a range of projects in multiple sectors, on a permanent basis. The company have been operating for approximately 55 years and have established an enviable reputation as a high quality, client-focused Main Contractor that complete a wide range of contracts for blue chip and repeat business clients. The company are based in Ipswich but operate throughout the UK. They carry out new build and refurbishment projects between £1m to £15m in all major sectors including commercial, education, healthcare, industrial and leisure.
They are looking for an experienced Senior Site Manager with a proven track record of overseeing projects from inception through to completion. They have a large pipeline of work in Cambridge, South Essex and North London so the Senior Site Manager will be working across these geographical areas long term. Therefore, the role is really suited to someone that is either located between these areas or happy to travel across these areas long term.
Key Attributes:
- Track record working as a Senior Site Manager for a reputable Main Contractor
- Experienced in the management of projects across varied sectors and of differing types of construction and with a value range of between £1m and £15m
- Be able to manage efficiently, effectively and safely the day to day running of a construction project with the support of a visiting Contracts Manager on a weekly basis
- Excellent quality and Health & Safety record / standards
- Strong technical experience; ideally coming from a trade background
- Be able to plan events on site and prepare short term programmes and communicate these effectively to the workforce and management teams
- Be able to monitor progress on site and review and instigate corrective action plans when necessary
- Be able to manage the project on site with a cost effective approach and in accordance with the strategy set at tender stage
- SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid
- Happy to work on projects located in Cambridge, South Essex and North London
