HSE Advisor

Location: Greater Leeds (with UK site travel)

Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 + Company Car + Travel Expenses

We’re working with a leading M&E specialist that has built a solid reputation across various sectors, including commercial, industrial, retail, and leisure. They offer end-to-end project management, from concept and design to installation and ongoing maintenance. They’re all about safety, compliance, and delivering high-quality results. Now, they’re looking to bring on their first full-time HSE Advisor to take their safety standards to the next level.

What You’ll Be Doing:

As the HSE Advisor, your role will involve:

  • Developing and implementing health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Conducting site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and address them.
  • Delivering HSE training and toolbox talks to staff and subcontractors.
  • Investigating incidents and near misses, producing reports, and making recommendations to improve safety standards.
  • Working closely with the Directors, clients, and external consultants to ensure everything is compliant and running smoothly.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest HSE regulations and best practices.

What We’re Looking For:

To be a good fit for this role, you’ll need:

  • A NEBOSH Construction or NEBOSH General Certificate (a must).
  • 3-4 years of health and safety experience, ideally in the construction industry and M+E
  • Strong communication and leadership skills – you’ll need to influence and engage with people at all levels.
  • Knowledge of ISO auditing processes is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel across the UK to various sites (around 60% travel).

Location & Travel:

  • You’ll be based in the Greater Leeds area, West Yorkshire, but expect regular travel to sites across the UK.
