Logistics Assistant required for my client who is within the automotive industry, based in Peterborough. The successful logistics assistant will support our Head of Logistics in planning and managing vehicle movements across the UK. Logistics Assistant Job Overview Assist in planning and coordinating vehicle movements across the UK. Collaborate with internal departments to ensure client needs are met. Maintain and update records in the to ensure compliance. Support internal and external audits to maintain ISO compliance. Assist in managing the Grey and Hire fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are safe, roadworthy and compliant with MOT and servicing requirements. Act as the first point of contact for vehicle breakdowns. · Support stock and asset management, ensuring equipment, consumables and stock levels are maintained. · Provide support to logistics, equipment and maintenance teams across all group sites. Logistics Assistant Job Requirements · Previous experience working in a logistics position. · Experience in fleet, asset and consumables management. · Proven organisational skills. · High level of IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and internal database platforms. · Be flexible and available to travel across the UK, sometimes at short notice, including overnight stays if required. · Based within a commutable distance of Peterborough (office-based position). · Full UK driving licence (preferred). Logistics Assistant Salary & Benefits · Salary – £26,000 to £28,000. · Full time permanent position – Monday to Friday – 42.5 hours a week with a 30 min lunch break. (07:30am to 16:30pm normal hours but flexibility can be an option on this). · Holiday package – 20 days + 8 bank holidays. · Company pension scheme. · Casual dress, company events and free on-site parking.
