Job Description
Join a global leader in communications satellites, Earth and space observation, and space exploration technologies. They are shaping the future of space and looking for bold thinkers and boundary-pushers who are eager to change the world, both on the ground and in the stars.\\n\\nWe’re on the hunt for a DSP Firmware Engineer to join our growing UK-based team. Working with cutting-edge technologies, you'll collaborate with international experts to advance space telecommunication payloads, instruments, and sensors for exploration and communication missions.\\n\\nResponsibilities:\\n\\n * Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to develop space telecommunication payloads and advanced sensors.\\n\\n * Design, simulate, and implement digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms for telecoms and sensing applications.\\n\\n * Translate formal input requirements into firmware design concepts, from well-defined specifications to innovative, new concepts.\\n\\n * Troubleshoot hardware and software challenges for space missions.\\n\\n * Maintain and extend existing space communication products.\\n\\n * Produce and document firmware requirements as needed.\\n\\nIdeal Qualifications:\\n\\n * University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or a related field.\\n\\n * Considerable commercial experience in signal processing design and implementation.\\n\\n * Proficiency in designing and simulating multirate signal processing algorithms.\\n\\n * Experience with C/C++ coding for SoC cores and/or vector processors.\\n\\n * Expertise in VHDL or Verilog for FPGA or ASIC designs.\\n\\n * Experience with modern AMD/Xilinx SoCs for implementing DSP algorithms is highly desirable.\\n\\n * Familiarity with formal configuration control methods.\\n\\n * Experience leading design teams and familiarity with 5G/LTE radio stacks is a plus.\\n\\n * Knowledge of radiation mitigation design techniques for space hardware is a bonus.\\n\\nWe’re passionate about pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in space.
