Job Description
Our Client, a renowned Civil Engineering contractor, is seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to join their team in London. The candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards across their operations, the candidate will be expected to be site-based for 3 to 4 days a week, with 1 day spent at the site office.\\n\\nExperience Required for Health & Safety Advisor:\\n\\n- At least 1 year UK based experience in a similar HSEQ role within the construction, drainage or civils industries is preferred.\\n\\n- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with employees at all levels.\\n\\n- A thorough understanding of relevant health, safety, environmental legislation and best practices is required.\\n\\n- Relevant qualifications in health and safety (such as NEBOSH or equivalent) would be advantageous but not mandatory.\\n\\nJob Responsibilities for Health & Safety Advisor:\\n\\n- Implement and maintain HSEQ policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and standards.\\n\\n- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement.\\n\\n- Perform root cause analysis on incidents and near misses, providing actionable recommendations to prevent recurrence.\\n\\n- Prepare detailed reports on HSEQ performance, including findings from audits and inspections, ensuring clear communication of results to management.\\n\\n- Deliver training sessions on health, safety, environmental practices and quality assurance to staff at all levels.\\n\\n- Work as part of team to deal with HSEQ-related queries within the organisation.\\n\\n- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of safety and quality throughout the organisation
