ARDATEM, founded in 1987 and currently employing around 800 people, is a subsidiary of the Gérard Perrier Industrie Group. ARDATEM operats in the energy sector, working on nuclear plants at various stages: studies, operation, and maintenance. The company also engages with industrial sites in the fuel cycle, thermal power plants, and research centers. In 2022, ARDATEM UK Pvt Ltd. was established in the United Kingdom to provide engineering consulting services, particularly in the fields of Control and Instrumentation (C&I) and electrical engineering. This includes installation, commissioning, and maintenance, as well as all on-site activities for the UK nuclear industry. As part of the construction of the two EPR reactors at Hinkley Point C (HPC), our team, integrated within the Joint Design Office (JDO), will provide support for the plant layout design. We will offer technical assistance in managing site impact requests and coordinating between various engineering disciplines. Details of the Activities: Assessment of layout impact requests: Identify and assess site requests that may impact the layout. Gather all necessary information to analyze each request. Conduct a detailed assessment of the impacts across all disciplines (HVAC, piping, equipment, electrical) and other stakeholders (contractors, etc.). Technical analysis and solutions: Produce technical assessments and solutions with appropriate justifications. Use of 3D models, installation tolerances, introduction notes. Managing interfaces between disciplines and updating deliverables produced by the RD Back-Office. Propose 3D models (in collaboration with CAD designers). Coordination between teams: Liaise with other technical disciplines (HVAC, piping, equipment, electrical). Coordinate with RD Back-Offices and the NNB construction team. Work with contractors to implement site changes. Change management process: Launch the change management process and track its implementation on site. Reporting progress and issues: Report to the Layout Team Lead on progress, difficulties, and any technical alerts identified. Contribute to closing open design points after package delivery to site. Anticipating and managing open technical points: Identify and flag any open technical points and the need for additional support. Collecting lessons learned: Organize and document lessons learned throughout the project. Meetings and sharing technical topics: Participate in JDO-DT Layout team meetings, share technical topics, and contribute to managing modifications requested by various engineering teams, contractors, and the client. A highly qualified engineer with a degree-level education and several years of professional experience, particularly in EPR and other nuclear projects. Skilled in 3D design software such as Navisworks, with extensive experience in 3D model visualization for layout analysis, ensuring optimal designs that meet industry standards. Strong understanding of general layout rules and the operation of nuclear power stations, including critical safety aspects such as nuclear safety, flooding, fire protection, radiological protection, and high-energy line ruptures. Proficient in Microsoft Office and fluent in English. Additionally, has experience in nuclear site engineering, plant layout engineering, and a thorough understanding of UK regulatory processes and the Hinkley Point C (HPC) project. Knowledge of additional 2D/3D design software and French language skills are desirable.
