Are you looking for a hands-on role in the vehicle recycling sector? We have an immediate opportunity for a Semi-Skilled Mechanic/Labourer with a passion for vehicle mechanics and general labouring. This is a fantastic chance to join a small, friendly team in Hull, with the potential for long-term, permanent work for the right candidate.

Benefits:

  • £11.44 per hour (+ holiday pay)
  • Great working hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:00 am 4:30 pm, and 8:00 am 3:30 pm on Fridays
  • 30 hours per week

Key Duties:

  • De-polluting vehicles before they are reclaimed or salvaged (e.g., removing oil, fuel filters, etc.)
  • Safely removing vehicle batteries, tyres, and other salvageable parts
  • General labouring tasks to support vehicle processing operations

What We re Looking For:

  • Some previous experience or qualifications in vehicle mechanics or a related field
  • Familiarity with vehicle de-pollution and salvage processes is advantageous, but not essential
  • A strong work ethic, ability to work as part of a team, and willingness to learn
  • Ability to take initiative and complete tasks independently when required
