We are looking for an experienced Nurse to join our on-site First Aid and Occupational Health Centre, caring for both our guests and a 1,500 strong workforce.
Reporting to the Nurse Manager, and working alongside a team of Occupational Health Nurses, First Aid and Emergency Technicians and an Administrator, you will provide a proactive Occupational Health service to our colleagues on village. You will be responsible for planning and implementing an Occupational Health service to comply with regulatory Health Surveillance requirements and positively influencing our colleague wellbeing and support in managing work related health issues.
You will also be required to provide emergency first aid and minor medical treatment to guests and colleagues, as necessary.
Responsibilities will include:

Carrying out Health Surveillance screening specific to varied roles within our teams

Fitness for work, phased return to work and pre-employment screening
-
Delivering immunisation programmes
-
Delivering health promotion and wellbeing activities
-
Working in conjunction with the Occupational Health team and HR to deliver mental health strategy for colleagues
-
Attending, with the First Aid and Emergency Technician, guest or colleague medical emergencies to provide appropriate triage, assessment and referral to onward care
Please note you will be expected to cover for the First Aid and Emergency Technicians where circumstances require it. Appropriate training will be provided.
Due to the sensitive nature of this role the successful applicant will be required to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly CRB) with Child and Adult List Barring Check. This disclosure, together with other selection information, will need to be satisfactory to the Company for employment to commence.
HOURS OF WORK
You will be contracted to work 96 hours per 4-week period on a flexible basis. This means that your days and hours of work could vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period. Shifts will fall between 8.30am and 9pm and include some weekends.
As our village is open 365 days of the year, your working hours will include weekends, public / bank holidays and during Christmas and / or New Year on a rota basis.

Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a Nurse

Full UK driving licence held for a minimum of 6 months

Qualification in AED / BLS / Anaphylaxis use

Ability to work under pressure, prioritise workload and make decisions in a calm and considered manner

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills at all levels

Competent user of Microsoft and other IT software

An excellent and confident communicator with exceptional people skills in high-pressure situations

Team player, but also confident to provide service as a lone worker
