As our Chief Operating Officer, you will be a crucial part of the management team and responsible for scaling Medbelle’s core business. You will contribute to our vision by creating operational excellence across departments and play an instrumental role in taking us to new heights.
What you will do
- Be a hands-on operational leader; managing daily operations and ensuring they support Medbelle‘s strategic and sales objectives
- Take responsibility for our Operations, Sales and Marketing teams, providing them with strong leadership and mentoring and fostering a culture of achievement and success
- Have a keen eye on process and performance optimisation and focus on streamlining both sales and operations processes to increase efficiency
- Take responsibility for building robust sales strategies. Establish metrics and targets, aligning them with our long-term objectives
- Represent Medbelle in operational partnerships with key partners (e.g. insurers, hospitals, referring organisations)
- Be a part of the C-level team and work tightly with the CEO
Who you are
- You have proven experience as a COO or have had a similar leadership role with a focus on operations and sales
- You have experience with scaling up companies, ideally in a Venture Capital or Private Equity environment
- You have 5+ years experience in specialist healthcare and understand the dynamics between different stakeholders, preferably in the UK
- You have excellent analytical acumen, with the ability to understand data and translate it into understandable action points
- You‘re hands on, and capable of both strong strategic thinking whilst simultaneously understanding the details – you can understand operations in detail and actually execute yourself
- Your communication and interpersonal skills are outstanding, and you have a knack for building strong stakeholder relationships
- You have experienced high-performance organisations before and are adaptable to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving startup environment

The application process
Total duration: 4-6 weeks

- Case study with CEO: If we both want to continue, we will send you a case study related to your role. The results of what you have prepared in your own time will then be discussed in a workshop with Leander.
- Management team interview: If successful, we will invite you to present the results to the remaining leadership team. You will also spend some time with them and the most relevant potential direct reports.
- Cultural Addition: A conversation will be a more personal chat with another member of our Medbelle team.
- Board Call: A conversation with the hiring committee of Medbelle’s advisory board.
- Reference calls: We will ask for the contact details of some of your prior managers or direct reports.
