Bridge Engineer

Location: Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh or Glasgow (Hybrid - 2 Days Remote, 3 Days Office-Based)

Rate: £40-£60 an hour (Depending on experience), Inside IR35

Working hours: 40 hours a week

Contract Type: 6-Month Contract (with Possibility of Extension), Inside IR35

About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Bridge Engineer to join our infrastructure team in either Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh or Glasgow. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a range of bridge maintenance and refurbishment projects, ensuring the resilience and safety of key transport links across Scotland.

This is an initial 6-month contract, with strong potential for extension based on project needs and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage bridge inspection, assessment, design, and maintenance projects.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, and detailed design drawings.
• Provide engineering input and oversight during site works and maintenance operations.
• Engage with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Ensure adherence to current design standards, safety regulations, and quality assurance processes.
• Support and mentor junior engineers and contribute to a collaborative team culture.
