An established £14m turnover manufacturing group is seeking an experienced Commercial Accountant to support financial planning, reporting, and operational decision-making. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is a key role focused on cost control, systems development, and delivering high-quality financial insight. This is a newly created, permanent position, with scope for progression within a fast-growing group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial forecasts
- Conduct detailed cost analysis, track margins, and lead initiatives to identify and deliver cost-saving opportunities
- Develop and manage key financial KPIs to monitor business performance and support strategic decision-making
- Provide clear variance analysis and forecasting to highlight financial trends, risks, and opportunities
- Support the annual budgeting process and contribute to longer-term financial planning
- Drive improvements in financial systems and reporting tools, with a focus on automation and data accuracy
- Ensure strong internal controls and full compliance with financial regulations and audit standards
- Partner with operational leaders to provide meaningful financial insight and influence commercial decisions
- Maintain high reporting standards, consistently meeting tight deadlines under pressure
Candidate Profile:
- CIMA / ACCA Part Qualified (QBE considered with relevant experience)
- Background in manufacturing or product-based environments
- Strong understanding of costing and financial systems
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Confident communicator, able to engage across the business
- Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Package & Benefits:
