Picker/Packer

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Packer to join our clients dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that products are accurately packed and prepared for shipment, maintaining high standards of quality control throughout the process. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Working hours are 2pm – 11pm Monday to Friday

Responsibilities

• Perform picking and packing of items according to order specifications.

• Handle materials safely and efficiently, ensuring proper storage and organisation within the warehouse.

• Conduct quality control checks to ensure that all items meet company standards before shipment.

• Utilise a warehouse management system to track inventory levels and manage stock effectively.

• Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including preparing documentation for outgoing shipments.

• Operate forklifts and other machinery as required, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

• Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency.

• Previous experience in a packing or warehouse role is preferred but not essential.

• Strong mechanical knowledge is advantageous for handling equipment effectively.

• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required, with a focus on safe handling practices.

• Familiarity with materials handling techniques and quality control processes.

• Experience using warehouse management systems is beneficial.

• Forklift certification is a plus, demonstrating capability in operating machinery safely.

• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills are essential for success in this role.
