We’re building the future of home renovation. We believe that renovation doesn’t need to be complicated and there’s a better way. Since 2022, Beams has been on a mission to deliver a simpler and greener renovation experience for homeowners and contractors facilitated through a tech first platform. More transparency, more efficiency and more trust between all involved. Success at Beams comes from our people and our culture. Internally, we have a strong bias for action, we believe in making the complex simple and we never settle for the status quo. We’re fueled by positive energy, fostering a culture of openness and doing the right thing. Both for people and the planet.
About the role: We’ve had incredible growth and as we transition from a start-up to a European enterprise, we need to scale how we sell our renovation projects and establish high growth sales channels. This is a brilliant opportunity for a smart sales leader with experience of scaling sales teams and channels with a mix of high value, consultative sales and shorter sales assisted cycles. We want someone who is obsessed with driving high performance teams, adept at using data to identify constant improvements and a passion for evolving sales approaches including how we sell and what we sell. This role does not require interior design or renovation experience - though experience or passion in the space is a plus. This role reports into the COO, based in London.
What you’ll be doing:
- Scale our sales teams by building a team of high performers who reach/exceed targets that align with our growth plans.
- Oversee the sales team's performance, setting KPIs, SLAs and objectives and conducting regular reviews and coaching.
- Use data to identify solutions that improve sales conversion and drive these changes across multi-functional teams including product, marketing, and operations.
- Work closely with marketing to optimise how we source and partner to deliver high quality leads.
- Work with operations teams in how we handover projects to deliver strong customer experiences.
- Ensure we have processes, reporting and platforms to drive efficiency and improved conversion in our sales processes.
- Lead multi-disciplinary projects to drive these improvements.
- Support COO on other projects including growth & channel expansion, proposition expansion, sales resource forecasting, and pricing and efficiency improvements.
What you’ll need:
- Track record of at least 5+ years leading sales teams and 2 years in management roles in tech enabled businesses.
- Experience with marketplaces is ideal.
- Strong familiarity with Hubspot.
- Obsessed with data - able to both dive deeply but extract insights that improve operations by thinking holistically about impact and roll outs.
- Demonstrated experience of building high performing sales cultures around an appetite to exceed targets.
- Excellent problem solving, commercial and analytical skills to understand the complex needs of our business and implement simple solutions at scale.
- Exceptional communication skills encompassing challenging conversations, coaching leaders and communicating initiatives across teams.
- Comfortable with ambiguity, scrappy attitude and bias to getting stuff done.
- An interest or passion in renovations and sustainability.
Package and Benefits:
- Competitive salary, subject to experience, and share options giving you a stake in the company’s success.
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
- Opportunities for professional growth and skill development within a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
- Budget for learning & development to support your growth.
