Head of Commercial Finance Location: London (primary office) / Nottingham (occasional travel)Reporting to: Chief Financial OfficerDirect Reports: Commercial analystsContract Type: Full-time, PermanentRole overviewThis is a senior full-time role within the business, requiring a commercially savvy and strategic individual preferably with consumer goods experience. The position is a pivotal component of the Operational Leadership Team (OLT), which together with your direct reports is focused on bringing greater clarity of performance to the business and driving profitable growth in line with our strategic priorities. Key responsibilities:Lead all aspects of commercial finance and FP&A, including inter alia:Acting as the Finance lead in the S&OP process, including reporting and monitoring all risks and opportunities to plan. Drive clarity and accountability for regional, channel/customer and category profitability and P&LsPartner with commercial teams on pricing, promotions, trade terms, and margin improvement opportunities, together with ad hoc scenario modelling as requiredOversee ROI analysis on commercial and marketing investments.Manage and develop all FP&A processes, such as creating a rolling forecast; sharpening our monthly management reporting routines and strategic planning workflows Develop our internal tools to better utilise technology and significant data at our disposal to increase transparency, accessibility and accuracy of our performance versus targets.Be an effective lead within your team, helping to develop team members in meeting their individual objectives Required Skills & ExperienceQualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).Minimum 7–10 years of experience in commercial finance roles, preferably in FMCG / consumer goodsDemonstrable experience partnering with commercial teams to drive profitable growthExceptional analytical and modelling skills; experience with financial planning systems (e.g. Power BI) is a plus.Comfortable working in a venture capital backed, fast-pace entrepreneurial environment.
