About the Firm

The Pricing Strategy team is part of a leading global consulting firm’s Strategy Group, known for delivering innovative strategic insights and optimizing financial, business, and operating models. The group serves high-profile clients across the UK, Europe, and internationally, working in sectors such as retail, leisure, healthcare, transport, industrial manufacturing, and financial services. The team specializes in solving complex pricing, revenue growth, and profit optimization challenges through data-driven solutions.

The Role

The firm is seeking a Director for its Pricing Strategy team with expertise in pricing strategy and commercial excellence. This individual will lead a team, develop strategic pricing solutions, and engage directly with senior clients to drive revenue and profitability.

Roles and Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management:

  • Lead and mentor a team of pricing consultants, ensuring high performance and development.
  • Oversee the strategic direction of pricing projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Client Engagement:

  • Serve as the main contact for senior client stakeholders, building and maintaining relationships.
  • Present pricing strategies and insights to clients and identify new business opportunities.

Strategic Pricing Solutions:

  • Design and implement pricing strategies to optimize revenue, profitability, and market share.
  • Use analytics and competitor analysis to develop and refine pricing models.

Project Management:

  • Manage project delivery, ensuring milestones are met within timelines and budgets.
  • Oversee quality control to ensure client expectations and standards are met.

Thought Leadership:

  • Stay informed on industry trends and contribute thought leadership content on pricing strategy.
  • Represent the firm at industry events and lead internal knowledge-sharing sessions.

Data-Driven Insights:

  • Leverage data analytics and AI tools to drive pricing strategy insights.
  • Build and interpret financial models to assess pricing changes’ impact on profitability.

Collaboration & Compliance:

  • Work with senior leaders to align pricing strategies with the firm’s growth goals.
  • Ensure pricing strategies comply with regulatory guidelines and ethical standards.

Experience, Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven pricing strategy experience from a strategy consultancy, Big 4 firm, or boutique consultancy.
  • Strong understanding of corporate/private equity value drivers and experience leading complex projects.
  • Excellent commercial acumen, numerical skills, and the ability to provide practical recommendations.
  • Strong communication skills (English required; other European languages a plus).
  • A degree in a quantitative/analytical discipline such as economics, mathematics, or engineering.
