Our client is a well-established manufacturer of bespoke building products. As a result of expansion, growth, and continued development they have retained our services to source a Design Engineer to join the business. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to progress and develop their career further within a well-established organisation that is expanding and investing heavily in growth and its staff.

Reporting directly to the Technical Director, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Design and development of new products
  • Managing NPD & NPI projects from concept to completion
  • Work cross functionally on the DFM/DFA process
  • Working cross functionally with manufacturing on both new and existing product ranges
  • Liaise with suppliers on components and material requirements for new products
  • Performing market research alongside product team

Currently a Design Engineer, you will be experienced in either design and development of products from conception to completion or improving product designs. Experience of a 3D CAD system is essential, SolidWorks is preferred. You will have proven experience of managing design multiple projects to good effect. You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
