You will consult with the in-house teams as well as external contracted suppliers during projects. Whilst approximately 80% the role will be project management, you’ll also be able to keep your creative side alive with design projects of your own when the demand calls for it, including concept design and development. Note: Due to the security clearance required for this role you MUST be a British national. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Project Engineer, Project Design Engineer, Mechanical Design Engineer – Mechanical Design, Manufacturing As our Project Engineer, you’ll be involved in multiple projects at any one time, where you’ll support internal and external stake holders to make sure that project time lines and budgets are kept on track and communicated. Whilst this job offers a wide range of responsibility within the projects, some of your responsibilities will include: · Review and understand specification and contractual requirements. · Create detailed project plans to prepare, plan and track projects. · Identify project risk and conduct risk strategies. · Prepare and organise testing. · Prepare and submit technical reports and contractual documentation. PERSON SPECIFICATION: Project Engineer, Project Design Engineer, Mechanical Design Engineer – Mechanical Design, Manufacturing You’ll be an educated and qualified Mechanical Engineer, and we are open to background, but anyone with experience and exposure to Aerospace and Defence will be of particular interest. You’ll have demonstrable knowledge and experience of: · The design of electro-mechanical systems. · Managing multiple projects at different stages at the same time. · Communicating and managing stakeholders internally and externally. · Excellent organisation and time management ensuring projects are on time and in budget. Note: Due to the security clearance required for this role you MUST be a British national.
