SRG are delighted to be working with one of Scotland's most innovative and exciting early-stage organisations as they continue their exciting start to 2025. As part of their ongoing expansion, the organisation is looking to recruit a senior purification/separation scientist to work in their new production facility.
The Role
As a senior separation scientist, you will work closely with the production chemistry and synthetic chemistry teams to improve yield and purity of organic product. You will provide the organisation with expert-level knowledge in the isolation and purification of high-value materials of interest. In this role, you will be expected to carry out purification on a milligram to gram scale using techniques such as prep-HPLC, prep-SFC, and flash chromatography. The successful candidate will also be responsible for method development and optimisation of these purification/separation processes.
The Right Person
- Ideally hold a PhD in a relevant subject
- Demonstrable experience in an industrial position with a primary focus on purification/separation of small organic molecules
- Expert level knowledge in chromatographic purification of organic material (SFC/HPLC/Flash Chromatography)
- Experience processing and generating relevant analytical datasets
- Demonstrable experience in process improvement
