  • Manage the sales team by way of morning department meetings and one to one’s.

  • Ensure all sales leads are distributed correctly and dealt with in a timely manner and followed up until completion.

  • Maintain relationships and keep up to date with manufacturer brand standards to include, training, showroom display and offers.

  • Ensure all systems are managed and up to date on a daily basis.

  • Monitor the performance of the sales team to meet or exceed sales targets, ensure this is completed inline with an effective process observed/followed by the members of the team that efficiently incorporates the sale of finance and product options in an FCA and GDPR compliant manner.

  • Ensure all deal files are submitted by the sales team on time, correctly and in line with compliance regulations.

  • Build and promote healthy, long-lasting customer relations.

  • Ensure stock vehicles are valeted, photographed and displayed once the vehicle has arrived from the preparation process within two days.

  • Ensure adequate demonstrator vehicles are available, road legal, maintained and cleaned to the appropriate standard.

  • Report to the Head of Business on a daily basis, number of leads, sales and number of vehicles delivered with an overview of products sold.

  • Approve part exchange evaluations in line with company policy.

  • Coach, support and motivate the sales team.

  • Ensure timely collection of funds from customers in advance of their collection allowing for the release of their vehicle

  • Ensure stock is managed according to the stocking policy to maximise return on investment using all tools available.

  • Work with the service department, ensure the HQ valeters have clear defined tasks each day and the sales team are giving prior notice for handovers with two way communication on handovers.

  • Ensure the showroom and forecourt is well stocked and presented to a high standard.

  • Ensure that all personal training and correspondence on manufacturer, finance and warranty provider systems is up to date.

  • Assist with and deputise for Sales administration in their absence.

  • Work closely with Marketing to maintain speed and continuity of advertising stock vehicles.
