Job Title: Freight Branch Manager – European Road Freight & WarehousingLocation: EssexSalary: £55,000–£60,000 (dependent on experience)Type: Full-Time, PermanentAbout the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and confident Freight Operations Manager to lead our dynamic logistics operation. This leadership position is ideal for someone with a strong background in European Road Freight and hands-on warehousing experience.You will oversee a team of approximately 30 staff across Road Freight, Ocean Freight, Customs, and Warehouse Operations, ensuring the smooth, efficient, and compliant day-to-day running of the business.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage a team of 30+ across multiple logistics functions.Oversee end-to-end European Road Freight operations.Drive efficiency and performance in warehousing and customs processes.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve operational challenges.Maintain compliance with relevant transport, customs, and safety regulations.Foster a high-performance culture through clear communication and hands-on leadership.RequirementsProven experience in European Road Freight operations.Hands-on experience in warehouse management.Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams.Ability to navigate the challenges of a fast-paced logistics environment.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.Experience with customs procedures and/or ocean freight is advantageous.What We OfferCompetitive salary: £55,000–£60,000Opportunity to lead a growing and dynamic logistics operationSupportive work culture with clear growth potential
