About the Role:

We are in search of a dedicated and empathetic Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join our team in Barnstaple. Our school serves secondary-aged students with a variety of special educational needs, including:

  • Autism
  • Asperger's Syndrome
  • ADHD
  • Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
  • Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
  • Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be instrumental in providing personalized support to our students, fostering an environment where they can thrive and achieve their best.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting individual students and small groups with their educational and developmental needs
  • Supporting classroom activities and preparing learning resources
  • Implementing and monitoring individualized education plans (IEPs)
