DevOps Engineer

DevOps Engineer – Leading Hedge Fund – London

Our client, a prominent hedge fund, is looking to hire a DevOps Engineer to join their London team. This role will focus on developing and implementing new tools and infrastructure, as well as automating and enhancing development and release processes.

As the DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for managing environment deployments, performing upgrades, and overseeing system migrations.

Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for someone with solid experience using Git, along with strong scripting skills on both Windows and Linux platforms. Proficiency in Python is essential, and familiarity with VUE, CSS frameworks, and TypeScript would be highly beneficial. Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible is also required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and resolve issues in CI/CD pipelines, developing fixes and enhancements as needed
• Build tools and APIs to improve reliability and customer experience
• Develop software solutions to integrate with internal back-end systems and APIs
• Design and implement new development tools and infrastructure
• Automate development and release processes to improve efficiency
• Perform environment deployments, system upgrades, and migrations

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong knowledge of Git
• Experience with scripting on Windows (Batch/Powershell) and Linux (Bash)
• Proficiency in Python
• Familiarity with VUE, CSS frameworks, and TypeScript
• Working knowledge of D3 is desirable
• Hands-on experience with configuration management tools like Ansible
