Job Description

Restaurant Reception Manager

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Restaurant Reception Manager to oversee the restaurants Reception and Host team. Reporting to the Restaurant General Manager, you will have the opportunity to really make your mark in the restaurant scene in Bath, the reception and host team will lead the way in guest experience, ensuring that they will return time and time again.

The Place

A luxury hotel in central Bath. This 100-bedroom hotel has embarked on a multi-million-pound transformation which will see all the guest rooms, public area space and F&B fully refurbished and will also include a luxury spa facility.
The restaurant will be the most exciting place to eat and drink in Bath and beyond with beautifully designed dining area with open plan kitchen where the team will prepare local, seasonal ingredients over open fire. Complementing the restaurant will be a luxurious bar, intimate snug and terrace(s).

The Person

The Successful Restaurant Reception Manager will have the following:

  • Have previous experience managing restaurant, event, and private dining bookings.
  • Reservations/ bookings experience for a busy fast paced restaurant
  • – Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Highly detailed and attentive, ensuring accuracy in maintaining records and managing schedule
  • In depth knowledge of the restaurant and bar offering as well as the hotels offers and promotions
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour
  • Strong organisational abilities with the ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be comfortable dealing with ad hoc or short notice requests from guests or assigned by department head
