3rd Level qualification in an engineering discipline desirable.
The successful candidate will be required to submit a clear Access NI standard check.
Duties The role is for a Shot-Firer/ Explosives Supervisor.
Experienced, or a Trainee.
It is based on our customers sites throughout N.
Ireland and R.O.I and reports to the Directors.
The successful candidate will be responsible for 3d surveying of rock faces, using latest technology to design blasts, determine burdens and safely achieve required fragmentation.
Shot-firing services, including drilled shot-hole measurements, safe and accurate loading of each shot adhering to blast design requirements.
Blast Design/ Explosives Supervision; safe and efficient blast design following site specific parameters and industry best practice.
Monitor and Evaluate Environmental Impactof blasting to customer requirements and individual planning provisions Developing and maintaining professional and courteous relationships with customers Maintain safety checks and safety records, follow procedures, work instructions and conditions of risk assessments Maintain all records as required to comply with legislation, industry standards as a minimum, and best practice where practicable.
Skills A 3rd level qualification in an Engineering discipline or currently working toward highly desirable Computer Literacy essential Experience with survey and or 3 modeling software desirable Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
