Purpose of the Role

Work alongside Medical Devices Training Coordinators to provide both face-to-face and online training on the use of designated medical equipment to current and new clinical staff at all levels, including Bank staff and other support staff as necessary.Task ListIdentify medical device training needs for clinical professional users and deliver or facilitate appropriate medical device training in accordance with site-specific contracts and medical device policies and training systems.Supplement original equipment manufacturer (OEM) training for high-risk devices and devices used in acute clinical areas, and act as a liaison between staff and the OEM for support.Maintain the Learning Management System (LMS), liaise with managers regarding training delivered to their staff, and compile and distribute monthly training reports to key stakeholders, highlighting clinical areas with underperformance.Provide support for managing the LMS, including devising learning plans and content, and creating competency records for all clinical staff.Advise and support the medical device risk assessment process, including the application of protocols.Assist in developing strategies for training on the use of medical devices.Contribute to the design of training programs for the selection and use of medical devices, ensuring these programs comply with the requirements of regulatory bodies.Audit the effectiveness of training programs to promote the efficient use of medical devices, and report any issues to management.Determine the appropriate arrangements for refresher training and ensure its delivery.Liaise with clinical representatives to ensure they maintain training and equipment information in clinical areas, ensuring clinical staff have access to user instructions and training records.Monitor clinical incidents and recommended actions arising from device alerts for possible training issues, taking appropriate action when necessary.Liaise with internal clinical training and competence teams as required (e.g., Professional Development or Learning & Development departments).Be an active member of the Medical Devices Committee, or equivalent (as applicable).
