CDS Surveyors
A field based role carrying out surveys to ensure the integrity and safety of gas distribution systems at a diverse range of non-residential buildings, our Complex Distribution System (CDS) Surveyors have flexibility in their role and are at different locations every day.At 40Seven, we provide accurate surveying outcomes related to the gas assets of our clients. Our CDS Surveyors play a key role in conducting thorough and precise inspection surveys confirming the presence and condition of gas infrastructure across a variety of buildings including shopping centres, hospitals, schools stadiums and leisure centres. The CDS Surveyor will gather data on site, and conduct a gas leakage survey, following our internal processes to ensure the collected data reaches the client promptly and in line with our project deliverables.You will need toConduct CDS surveys in accordance with the established proceduresPerform gas leakage surveys within the designated survey areas, adhering to safety protocols and standardsCollaborate with the Project Manager and other colleagues to ensure timely and high quality project deliveryMeet contractual KPIs related to survey quality and quantity outputs.Whilst previous experience of carrying out CDS surveys is not essential, it is desirable that you have either a utility surveying background, with knowledge of gas distribution systems and underground utility detection or experience of working with the gas network industry.You will haveA methodical, detailed oriented and thorough approach to workExperience of working remotely and achieving targetsAbility to interpret maps and plansWilling to work away from home and flexible working hoursA desire to work outdoors, in any weather, in a variety of locations across the countryA full driving licenceThe desire to overserve internal and external customersIt would also be of benefit to have experience of working in a customer facing role particularly dealing with members of the public.This role offers a huge amount of variety in working locations and type of work. The role is mostly site based but you will be expected to visit our offices periodically, to attend internal meetings, training sessions and catch ups.You will be required to undertake and pass a safety critical worker medical, drug and alcohol test and hold a clear basic DBS check to work in these roles due to the location of some sites.Candidates with previous experience or skills in the below would also be an ideal fit
