We support service users in the following locations across Hertfordshire: Hemel Hempstead, Boreham Wood, Potters Bar, Bushey.
Pay Rate: £14.60 - £16.00 per hour plus 30p mileage.
Shifts work across seven days a week:
- DAY - 06:00/7:00 am – 2:00 pm
- EVENING – 2:00 pm – 10:00/11:00 pm
Role & Responsibilities:
- Supporting clients to live safer and supported lives in their own homes, following individual care plans and assisting with personal care.
- Helping clients with practical tasks like shopping, mealtimes, and housework.
- Assisting with domestic tasks such as making and changing beds, tidying rooms, light cleaning, laundry, and emptying commodes.
- Providing companionship to prevent loneliness through engaging conversations, activities, and outings.
- Managing medication, including collecting prescriptions and providing reminders.
- Preparing nutritious meals considering dietary requirements and preferences.
- Assisting clients with mobility, including transfers and using mobility aids.
- Monitoring health and reporting changes in the client’s condition to healthcare professionals and family members.
- Encouraging participation in community activities and maintaining connections with family and friends.
- Providing emotional support to clients experiencing anxiety, loneliness, or distress.
- Maintaining accurate records of care provided and any changes in the client’s condition.
- Ensuring a safe living environment and responding appropriately to emergencies.
- Collaborating with other care team members, healthcare professionals, and family members to ensure comprehensive care.
Qualifications:
- No social care experience is necessary; we value compassion, communication skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- A commitment to delivering respectful care.
- A right to work within the UK.
- A driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this role.
