Specialist Smoke Vent (AOV) Engineer £32000 – £50000/annum Location: London/ Surrey Leading facilities management and building services company have an immediate need for a Specialist Smoke Vent Engineer (Automatic Opening Vents/ AOVs) Job Overview: We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Smoke Vent Engineer to join our team. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and functionality of smoke ventilation systems in various structures. Your expertise will be instrumental in installing, inspecting, and maintaining smoke vent systems to meet stringent safety standards and regulations. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with service team to ensure that systems are maintained according to our planner. Oversee the installation of smoke vents, coordinating with contractors to ensure accurate implementation of design specifications. You will be working Monday through to Fridays and be onsite for standard business hours which will require early starts to get to some sites, occasional overnight stays may be required. Inspection and Testing: * Conduct comprehensive inspections of existing smoke vent systems. * Perform functional tests to ensure proper operation of smoke vents during both regular and emergency conditions. * Document and report findings, recommending necessary adjustmen…
