Contentious Construction Solicitor
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading full-service headquartered in London and with offices internationally. Our client is looking for a Contentious Construction mid to senior level lawyer to join an ambitious and growing team of specialists.
The firm is an established and highly reputable law firm, with annual revenue growing each year and now reaching over £200m. The firm advises commercial clients across a range of their range of business sectors, with a particular emphasis on real estate developers, contractors and major engineering consultancies and UHNWI on high-value construction projects.
The firm is looking for an Associate to join the growing Construction department dealing with contentious side of adjudication, arbitration and litigation in the Technology and Construction Court. You will also be working closely with the non-contentious team, advising on project solutions for clients from procurement, negotiation, contracting and delivery.
As a mid to senior member of the team, you will also need to be able to work independently as well as a key member of the team, assisting with the supervision of more junior members.
There is a genuine opportunity for career progression as the team grows and as members are encouraged to develop their own network of contacts within the industry.
The Candidate
- Associate Solicitor with at least 3 + years PQE is essential
- Experience of real estate contentious construction matters in a leading national or regional practice
- Excellent analytical, communication and organisation skills
- Commercially aware with enthusiasm for business development
- Ability to work well as part of a team and on your own initiative
- Strong legal and leadership skills with an eye for detail
- Excellent organisation and time-management skills
