Assistant Farm Manager job – Northamptonshire

2300 acre Estate Farm,

Combinable crops, grassland and diversification.

An exciting role for an enthusiastic, capable, and hardworking person.

Responsibilities include:

1. Assisting the farm manager across all aspects of the business.
2. Undertaking spraying operations, grain store management, cultivations, and other machinery tasks.
3. Machinery maintenance, estate maintenance, and involvement with biomass heating and environmental schemes.

A busy Estate Farm looking to progress into the future. The candidate will be self-motivated and a team player.

The ideal candidate will have:

1. Formal agricultural qualifications and 5 years of recent, relevant experience with arable combinable crops.
2. A desire to achieve high standards with attention to detail.
3. General certification of PA1, PA2, and telehandler.
4. Preferably BASIS and FACTS qualified or the ability to achieve this.
5. A willingness to take responsibility and work on their own initiative.
