Job purpose
The Pricing Analyst will be responsible for the preparation of costing solutions to support tenders and pricing offers for key accounts. The Pricing Analyst will have a strong commercial awareness and will support the Cost Controller and Head of Commercial to deliver pricing data to other key functions within the business for presentation to clients.
Key responsibilities
- Provide cost analysis for all new business across Global regions in order to determine sales price and optimize margins as required.
- Maintenance of landed costs to include purchase price validity and component handling and storage.
- Provide adhoc business analysis to support and drive decision making in all areas of the business (Finance/Operations/Sales/Procurement/NPD) as required.
- Prepare and deliver analysis of new products in order to compare actual performance against standard costed performance.
- Assist with providing full pricing analysis/profitability statements for key customer accounts.
- Ensure the sales team have adequate support to respond to proposal requests.
- Creation of price lists and of active rolling prices reflective of purchase price validity.
- Regular price auditing to ensure accuracy of invoicing.
- Calculation of incoming cost increases and required customer price increase based on potential margin absorption.
- Introduction of menu cycle tracking to monitor price inflation and inform recommended RSP’s.
- Calculation of target purchase pricing based on end user target selling prices in order to inform NPD/Procurement when briefing suppliers.
- Assist with monthly sales forecasting based on historical trends and project pipeline.
- Assist with the implementation of annual price increases informed by PPI, labour and transportation increases.
- Set up of new BOMs on Business Central to consider both component purchase pricing and 3PL assembly charges.
- Maintain clean pricing data within Business Central to ensure accurate validity dates, terms withdrawn and pricing by caterer location.
