Systems Accountants are currently working with a fast-growing SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud end user to source an additional Systems Accountant to join their team. Having now gone-live on SAP across all entities of the business, this organisation is looking for a proactive and experienced individual from a strong finance systems background to manage their SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud system long-term. This role will ensure seamless system operations for BAU practice, as well as delivering process improvements, to support overall business efficiency.
Role Responsibilities
- Take ownership of SAP systems administration, resolving performance issues, access management controls, and troubleshooting various queries.
- Act as the primary SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud subject matter expert in the business, providing technical support and advice on how to best resolve issues with system functionality and system data.
- Work with internal stakeholders to identify and implement system enhancements and optimise existing processes.
- Oversee regular system upgrades in SAP S4HPC.
- Support end-user training for both finance and non-finance SAP end-users.
- Ensure financial data accuracy and maintain financial system documentation.
- Design, document, and implement best practice processes and controls for system maintenance, upgrades, development, and configuration.
- Take ownership of master data.
- Automate workflows within SAP.
Role Requirements
- Qualified/Chartered Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or ACA).
- Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA (Public Cloud version preferred).
- At least 3 years of experience in a Systems Accountant or related position.
- At least 2+ years of experience in a SAP Consultant, Systems Analyst, or Systems Manager role within a BAU environment.
- Familiarity with SAP access management and integrations (BTP, CPI, Identity Services).
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Proven experience improving and optimising financial processes and controls.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Change management skills, providing confidence and optimism in SAP.
