About the Role We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Engineer to join our Water Engineering Team. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate to kick-start their career in civil engineering, working on a diverse range of water infrastructure projects. As part of the team, you will gain invaluable hands-on experience, develop your technical and project management skills, and work on projects that positively impact communities and the environment. You will have the opportunity to contribute to all phases of water engineering projects, from feasibility studies to detailed design and construction, while learning from experienced engineers in a collaborative and supportive environment. Key Duties and Responsibilities As a Graduate Engineer, you will assist in: Preparation of Feasibility, Route, and Site Selection Reports. Contributing to the preparation of Concept and Detailed Design Reports, including drawings, calculations, and specifications. Developing Technical Specifications and Contract Documents for works and investigations. Assisting in the preparation of documentation for statutory approvals, such as planning permissions and wayleaves. Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers during construction stage contract administration. Gaining exposure to developing detailed project plans, including budgets, schedules, and resource allocation. Assisting in ensuring projects are delivered within budget, on time, and in compliance with regulations and standards. Learning to identify and mitigate project risks under guidance from senior team members. Performing site visits and inspections to monitor progress and quality. Preparing and reviewing technical reports, drawings, and specifications with supervision. Fostering effective communication and collaboration within the team, clients, and stakeholders. Building your knowledge of water engineering principles, regulations, and best practices. Key Requirements Bachelors degree in civil engineering or a related discipline (or in the process of completing). A foundational understanding of water engineering principles and practices. Eagerness to learn about the design of water infrastructure projects and analysis tools. Awareness of project management basics, including task prioritization, resource allocation, and timelines. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work as part of a team. A proactive and solution-oriented mindset, with a willingness to learn and develop professionally. Exposure to design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar tools.
