This business is upgrading its current ERP system and as such needs to appoint a highly experienced and post-qualified accountant to support the transition team.This is an exciting time to join this organisation, year on year growth in revenue, profit and headcount has been significant.
The leadership team have been delivering on the business plan, they have made big decisions; notable long-term decisions on investment, re-organisation of services, re-skilled, transferred and promoted the workforce, and also made strategic acquisitions.
This is a specific requirement for an accounting specialist with superb project management skills.
It is likely you have been trained in a leading consultancy firm or large corporate, gained experience in a systems implementation project team and completed the upgrade/introduction/transfer of a large scale system in your career to date.
You will be operating at Assistant Manager/Manager level or above at present in your current position.

Due to the changing nature of the role, from maintenance of the current SAP system to the transfer onto a new ERP system, the role requirement outlines as below.
In summary, duties will focus on: System Management Provide leadership and support to Financial Systems Administrator Ensure current SAP system is maintained in accordance with Financial Systems Governance Framework Ensure regular compliance reporting is maintained Support in the development of key finance processes to meet changing business requirements ensuring a robust feasibility and testing ethos is in place Maintain interfaces with other key systems Support a range of financial close and data management activities Engage with third party suppliers for ongoing system development where required Liaise with Internal and External auditors as required Ad hoc projects as agreed with Head of Financial Systems ERP Upgrade Play a key role within the ERP replacement programme with a key focus on financial system processes, system integration and reporting Support the development of a revised Chart of Accounts Support the development of a revised reporting hierarchy for management accounting purposes Become the systems expert and recognised key contact for replacement ERP Ensure controls and compliance at the heart of system configuration in line with group policies Develop a deep understanding of the replacement ERP and identify areas for future improvement Be a member of core project teams and lead on testing where required Provide guidance to Design Authority throughout the project Ongoing system management in line with Financial Systems Governance Framework Work closely with external partners during system implementation and for ongoing support and development Deliver training to finance and non-finance system users Liaise with Internal and External auditors as required If you enjoy the challenging project based work that this type of systems upgrade requires, then this is a role you should consider Skills: Qualified Accountant Systems Implementation SAP
