Electronic/Electrical Engineering Workshop Technician

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 1.0 FTE (35 hours per week)

Salary: £28,911 – £30,462 pro rata per annum

We are looking for an experienced Electronic/Electrical Engineering Workshop Technician to join our growing team to support the delivery of its Aeronautical and Engineering programmes, from HNC to degree level.

The campus is well resourced to deliver a first-class learning experience with a well-balanced mix of lecture theatres, classrooms, laboratories, and training workshops.

As a technician you will contribute to shaping the future of the next generation of aircraft engineers through supporting practical activities and maintaining the workshop and laboratories. Within your area, you will be responsible for: preparing laboratories and practical work in partnership with lecturing staff to ensure our learners have the opportunity to link theory to practical applications.

Candidates should hold an HNC in an Engineering discipline or have relevant industry experience. In addition, you should be a well-motivated self-starter with good communication skills who is able to work effectively with a team. A strong customer-focus and an awareness of the engineering requirements of industry are essential.
