Senior Principal Designer Job in South East London\\n\\nSenior Principal Designer job in South East London, leading a growing team of Principal Designers for an AJ Top 100 Architectural Practice, working on exciting heritage and conservation projects. The role offers a salary of up £65,000 + 25 days holiday + Hybrid Working.\\n\\nThe Architectural practice was founded over half a century ago and has grown to over 250 people across multiple UK offices. They have established themselves as an industry leader in planning advice, heritage consultancy, building surveying, conservation and contemporary architecture.
Working with public bodies, charities, trusts, private companies, contractors, developers and individuals, they have been involved in the care and development of some of the best-loved buildings and in the UK and abroad. They are now looking to grow their Principal Design/CDM team with a Senior Principal Designer to manage and develop their existing team of 2.\\n\\nRole & Responsibilities\\n\\nAdvise project design team members and clients on Health and Safety risk management matters in line with current UK and sometimes international CDM Regulations\\nDevelop the role of CDM PD within the company\\nReview projects and designs prioritising CDM PD appointed projects and advising on any other projects to allow office-wide consistency on pre-construction Health and Safety matters and standards\\nCollate, organise, and assist the client in providing pre-construction information\\nManage and coordinate the health and safety aspects during the pre-construction phase\\nPrepare and issue the health and safety file on completion\\nAssist with compiling and developing guidance material and management tools\\nDevelop and give training to in-house design disciplines\\nCarry out research into Health and Safety Standards (National and International) and good practice\\nWhere necessary liaise with Enforcing Authorities\\nCritically appraise Design Risk Assessments submitted by project design team\\nAssist with the completion of Design Risk Assessments.\\n\\nRequired Skills & Experience\\n\\nExperience and understanding of design and construction management and methodologies\\nArchitecture or consultancy background\\nProven skills in the delivery of CDM/H&S consultancy services\\nNEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent IOSH membership and Member of APS\\nProven experience in leading a Principal Designer / CDM team\\nDegree in either architecture, architecture technology, construction or engineering\\nHeritage project experience would be advantageous.\\n\\nWhat you get back\\n\\nSalary of up to £65,000\\n25 days annual leave, increasing up to 30 days with service\\nHybrid Working\\nLife assurance\\nCycle to work scheme\\nSeason ticket loan\\nEyecare vouchers\\nOptional healthcare cash back\\nEnhanced maternity and paternity pay.\\n\\nApply\\n\\nIf you meet the criteria above, send us your CV and portfolio.
