– Head of Application Engineering and Architecture Head of Application Engineering and Architecture Added 23rd January 2025 We are seeking an experienced and innovative Head of Application Engineering and Architecture to lead and manage our software engineering, solution architecture, and QA teams. This is a senior leadership role, reporting to the IT Director, and is critical to delivering scalable, high-performance applications that support the organisation’s strategic objectives. Responsibilities – Lead, mentor, and manage teams of technical leads, software engineers, solution architects, and QAs. – Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. – Oversee recruitment, training, and development of team members to build a high-performing workforce. – Manage the entire application development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance. – Stay abreast of emerging technologies, evaluating their potential impact on the organisation’s technology stack and architecture. – Several years of experience in similar roles, demonstrating architectural leadership at solution and enterprise levels – Proven track record of managing and delivering complex software projects. – Strong knowledge of modern architectural approaches, including evolutionary architecture, microservices, and API-first design.
