The Role The Role requires an enthusiastic Health Care Support Worker with a background in healthcare to join a growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to specialise within ophthalmology and to work at a modern and a state of the art ophthalmic clinic which provides the highest standards of care. The role involves: Working efficiently with the multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care Involvement in all aspects of the Ophthalmic services including Pre and Post Operative care. Co-ordinating and controlling patient flow on surgery days, minimising waiting times, dealing with patient queries. Theatre rooms set up/clean down. Discharge process of surgical patients in instructing the patient on post procedure care. Restocking exams rooms, treatment rooms and consultation rooms. Assisting the Theatre Nurse Manager with the ordering of stock. Adhere to infection control policies and maintain theatre cleanliness Maintain and develop good professional relationships with Patients, colleagues and visitors Job Requirements Background in Healthcare is essential NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Healthcare or equivalent. Passionate for high quality patient safety and care. Excellent communication skills. Competent in IT.
