We are seeking a skilled Electrical Commissioning Engineer to support the delivery of a high-performance data center project based in London. You will play a critical role in ensuring all electrical systems are tested, commissioned, and delivered to the highest standards of safety, reliability, and performance.

This role requires a strong understanding of mission-critical environments, as well as hands-on experience with LV/MV power distribution, UPS systems, generators, and associated control systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute commissioning procedures for electrical systems including switchgear, UPS, generators, PDUs, STS, and lighting.
  • Perform functional testing, inspections, and validation in line with commissioning protocols and industry standards.
  • Work closely with design, construction, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of systems.
  • Review and verify documentation including method statements, risk assessments, test scripts, and commissioning records.
  • Identify and resolve issues during commissioning, escalating as necessary to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with health, safety, and quality regulations.
  • Support client witness testing (CWT) and final handover documentation.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of commissioning experience in data centers or similar critical infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of LV/MV systems, UPS, generators, and power distribution.
  • Familiarity with commissioning standards (BS7671, CIBSE, Uptime Institute, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • ECS or equivalent electrical certification (preferred).
  • Right to work in the UK.
