We’re supporting a well-established, award-winning beauty brand with offices in Marylebone who are looking for a capable Finance Assistant to join on a short-term maternity cover contract. You’ll play a key role in keeping day-to-day finance operations running smoothly while a team member is on leave. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their accounting career who’s confident with the basics and ready to step into a busy, professional office.

Essential Requirements

  • Available to start immediately
  • Must have experience using SAP Business One (SAP B1)
  • Confident with Excel, formulas and standard accounting processes
  • At least 12–18 months of relevant accounting experience (e.g. Assistant Accountant / Accounts Assistant level)

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Purchase / Sales ledger
  • Ownership of finance mailbox, responding to suppliers, filing of emails & invoices in respective folders
  • Preparing VAT returns and IOSS
  • Assisting with monthly reporting and reconciliations
  • Processing journals and daily banking
  • Providing HoF with month end accruals and prepayments
  • Supporting with balance sheet and P&L reviews
  • Inputting and reviewing data in SAP B1
  • Helping with financial admin and ad-hoc tasks

  • Someone reliable and ready to hit the ground running
  • Comfortable working 2 days a week from the office
  • Analytical aptitude and excellent attention to detail
  • Experience of marketplace/Amazon reconciliations
  • Proactive, a strong team player and a 'hands on' attitude

Contract Type: Short-term maternity cover (3 months – possibility of being made permanent)
