SEN Teaching Assistant – Make a Lasting Impact in Tower Hamlets! Location: Tower Hamlets Salary: £90 – £105 per day Start Date: ASAP Working Hours: 8:30 am – 4:00 pm (Monday to Friday) Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? We’re looking for a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic primary school in Tower Hamlets, where every day is an opportunity to make a difference. About the Role: As a SEN TA, you’ll play a vital role in supporting pupils with a range of needs, particularly those with SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health) challenges, including ADHD and self-harming behaviours. You will: Provide focused 1:1 support in the mornings for students who require additional emotional or behavioural support. Support across Key Stages 1 & 2 in the afternoons as needed. Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to implement personalised learning and behaviour plans. Create a safe, nurturing environment where students feel valued and empowered to succeed. Build strong, positive relationships with students to support their social and emotional development. ✅ What We’re Looking For: Experience working with children with SEN or SEMH needs. Understanding of safeguarding and child protection (essential). A proactive, patient, and empathetic attitude. Ability to support with nappy changing when required. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Relevant training or qualifications (desirable but not essential).
