ABOUT THE ROLE

The Product Designer will support the Partnerships Team in delivering best-in-class products to key stakeholders and organisations. The designer will oversee the entire design process from initial briefing through to final product sign off. The focus of this role is within football and motorsports, however work will be required across other partnerships and events.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Creative Direction:

  • Identify key trends and innovations in sportswear and sustainability, presenting seasonally to internal team.
  • Create mood boards and presentations for clients & partners.

Product Design

  • Lead design process from concept to final product.
  • Translate concepts into commercial sketches.
  • Summarise projects into visual overviews.
  • Create comprehensive design packs for all products.
  • Establish and maintain clear branding specification for all products.
  • Own and maintain design packs, ensuring they are always up to date, reflecting amendments and requirements.
  • Ensure all design, visual and construction updates are accurately reflected in design packs, overviews, and workbooks.
  • Participate in fittings and prototype reviews, offering constructive feedback and making necessary adjustments to designs to ensure fit, function, and aesthetic integrity.
  • Support other internal teams with design input if required.
  • Stay updated on industry advancements, technological innovations, and sustainable practices to continually enhance design processes and product offerings.

Trims, print and packaging:

  • Review and approval of lab dips and strike offs.
  • Creating artworks for labelling, tags, bags, and additional trims as required.
  • Developing print artworks.

Critical Path Management:

  • Ensure the critical path deadlines are met, both internally and with third parties.

Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with Technical and Development Teams, and other key stakeholders to ensure product quality and standards.
  • Liaise with Sales and Marketing teams, briefing them as required on products.

General Duties:

  • Support team members and contribute to overall business goals.
  • Attend events to understand product use and marketing.
  • Any ad hoc duties as required.

ABOUT YOU

ESSENTIALS

  • 3+ years in product design, preferably within football, motorsports, or performance apparel.
  • Strong understanding of garment construction, materials, and trims. Experience with fittings and prototype reviews.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator is required. Photoshop and InDesign experience is preferred and 3D design tools beneficial.
  • Experience in managing timelines and ensuring designs meet internal and external deadlines.
  • Motivated to drive eco-friendly practices in design and production.
