Established for over 50 years, my client is one of the UK’s most innovative, ambitious and capable metal manufacturing and engineering firms. They are a leading force in the service, design, fabrication, machining, installation and maintenance of custom water treatment systems, storge tanks, cooking & mixing vessels and pipework for a variety of industries.
Their customers are generally from within the water, chemical, paper, pharmaceutical, oil & gas and food & drink industries in the UK and Europe and range from local manufacturers to large, blue-chip organisations.
The role:
This is an fabulous opportunity for someone with sales support experience and knowledge to join a busy and successful team and assist with all aspects of sales administration and activities.
You will be required to support the Sales, Marketing and Proposals teams by answering sales calls and enquiries, prospecting for new business, following up on quotations, information gathering and providing general administration support.
You will manage the CRM system to ensure data is input accurately and efficiently, generating cross – selling leads and opportunities.
Other duties will include:
- Securing appointments
- Booking travel and accommodation
- Supporting at exhibitions
- Providing support to customers
- Responding to sales enquiries via phone or email
- Updating social media
- Ensuring the company website is updated
The person:
In order to be considered for the position of Sales Support Administrator, you must possess the following:
- Previous sales/business development experience
- Effective negotiation and administration skills
- The ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships
- A confident and articulate manner
- Strong PC literacy
- Well organised with the ability to multi-task
- Happy to be office based
The benefits:
- A salary of 25,000 p.a – £30,000 p.a (DOE)
- 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays (rising with length of service)
- Pension 6% employer contribution)

- Working hours: 39.5 per week (Mon to Thursday 8am to 5pm with 30 min lunch break and Friday 8am to 1.30pm)
