Head of Production

We currently have a fantastic Head of Production opportunity for an innovative fast growing materials packaging company.As the Head of Production Operations, you will lead the manufacture of the company’s products across different contract manufacturing companies.Responsibilities:Overall responsibility for production and delivering manufactured projects to customers.Set and track production plans.Lead continuous improvement activities to optimise production, reducing timelines, wastes and costs.Set up and manage supply chains to ensure manufactured product is delivered to customers on time.Manage 3rd party manufacturers.Liaise with R&D and sales to plan and manage the manufacture of new products. Ideal candidates will have:Extensive experience in plastics manufacturing, ideally within food packaging along with expertise in extrusion or blown film. You will have experience in managing multi stakeholders, maintaining Quality Management Systems and have experience building manufacturing supply chains. It is desirable that candidates have process improvement certifications (Lean Six Sigma or similar)The role will require some national and international travel a few times a year.
