Principality Building Society is currently recruiting an Engineering Manager - (Integration) to lead a dynamic community of 15 MuleSoft engineers at the heart of our transformation. This is more than a people management role – it is a leadership opportunity to shape how integration enables change across our organisation.
As part of our Change Function in a respected UK mutual financial services organisation, you’ll create a strong and supportive engineering culture, drive capability uplift and embed modern integration practices that help deliver customer-centric change at pace.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead, coach and develop a talented team of MuleSoft engineers, supporting their growth, performance and wellbeing.
- Own and drive the vision and strategy of your Community of Practice (CoP), embedding a culture of empowerment, continuous improvement and collaboration.
- Identify and embed best-in-class practices, tools and frameworks to support efficient and effective delivery of integration solutions.
- Collaborate with agile delivery leaders, product owners, enterprise technical leads and other stakeholders to align integration capabilities with business needs.
- Stay close to the work – actively supporting or delivering value to keep your practice grounded and evolving.
- Manage training plans to ensure your community is equipped for today’s and tomorrow’s challenges.
What you’ll bring:
- A strong track record of leading engineering teams or practices, ideally in an agile change or transformation environment.
- Ideally expertise in MuleSoft integration or a comparable integration platform with recognised accreditations.
- Deep experience in coaching, capability development and community building.
- The ability to influence, challenge and collaborate across the organisation.
- A passion for embedding high standards, new ways of working and a culture of continuous learning.
- A good understanding of the DORA approach to measuring and improving software delivery performance.
