WAN Network Architect

Location: Birmingham/Hybrid (3 – 4 days per week on site)

Salary: £70K plus 10% bonus and £6K car allowance

Candidates must be willing and eligible to go through SC security clearance for this role.

We are looking for a WAN Network Architect to work on delivery opportunities taking place within the UK defence sector.

The role:

• Your role will involve providing technical leadership within a project
• Responsible for the network design and configuration documentation, including passing through any governance reviews
• As a Network Architect you’ll provide hands on technical configuration/implementation support and ensure successful handover to service

Skills and experience

• Strong technical networking knowledge with industry recognized network certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Juniper JNCIS-ENT
• Demonstrable design experience in proposing and utilizing technologies from global network vendors such as Cisco and Juniper
• 10 years in networking (2–3 years in design roles)
• WAN routing
• The candidate has a good working knowledge of all LAN Switching technologies – (Juniper EX platforms, JUNOS OS, Cisco switches)
• Encryption overlays (IPSec, GRE, hardware encryption)
• Network device configuration and troubleshooting
